V. Larionov at the session “Unconventional forms of project financing” of the “Open Innovations” forum, Skolkovo


On October 28, the Moscow International Forum of Innovative Development “Open Innovations”, an annual forum dedicated to new technologies and prospects for international cooperation in the field of innovations, completed its work at the Technopark “Skolkovo”. It is held in Moscow since 2012 under the auspices of the Government of the Russian Federation.

Co-organizers of the Forum were the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Government of Moscow, the Skolkovo Foundation, the Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank), RVC, the RUSNANO Group, and the Innovation Support Fund.

The main goal of the Forum is the exchange of practical experience, the promotion of advanced research and development, the creation of new tools for international cooperation in the field of innovation.

The program of the Forum was divided into 3 days. The first day was devoted to the topics of project financing, navigation on existing tools to support innovation at all stages of business development. Part of the program of the first day of the Forum was the Panel session "Unconventional forms of project financing", moderated by Viktor Larionov, director of MOST Marketing. Within the framework of the session, the participants discussed the peculiarities and risks of one of the most advanced project financing tools – crowdinvesting, which rapidly changes traditional investment practices, allowing entrepreneurs to attract financing on online sites from the private capital. This is one of the most effective tools for financing of start-ups in the past three years. A large number of crowdinvesting platforms launched in Russia and are active, providing investment to breakthrough projects.
